Kara (Hangul: 카라, often stylized as KARA) is a girl group from South Korea. They are under Daesung Entertainment (DSP). Kara comes from the Greek word "chara" (χαρά, lit. "joy"), which the group interpreted to mean "sweet melody".[1]
